ALL human beings need resources or things in order to survive.

What are some things that ALL human beings need to be able to survive?

​Food

• Human beings need food to survive!

• Food provides the energy, building blocks, and regulatory substances necessary for all bodily functions, including growth, repair, and maintaining vital processes.

​Water

• Human beings need water to survive!

• Water helps the body to function how it is supposed to. It helps transport nutrients, keep your body temperature where it needs to be, helps with digestion, and even helps your brain function.

​Shelter

• Human beings need shelter to survive!

• Humans need some place to be protected from the elements or weather and they need to place that will make them feel safe.

​Air

• Human beings need air to survive!

• The air contains oxygen, which humans need to breathe. Oxygen is needed for cellular respiration, which the process of the cells in our bodies using oxygen to turn nutrients into usable energy.

​Clothing

• Human beings need clothing to survive!

• Clothing helps humans to also be protected from the elements or weather and can help us be safe.
