The main function of the muscular system is to move your body. They must be attached to your skeletal system, which is your bodies frame.
There are 3 types of muscle.
Skeletal muscle: The only muscle you can voluntarily move.
Cardiac muscle: Only found in the heart. Involuntary muscle.
Smooth muscle: Found inside organs Involuntary muscle.
Muscular System
3
The main functions of the skeletal system include supporting the body , protecting vital organs and producing red blood cells.
Skeletal System
Support: The skeleton provides a frame or structure to hold your body upright and keep your organs in place.
Protection: Bones are hard and strong so that they can protect important organs.
Examples: Your skull protects your brain and your ribcage protects your heart.
Red blood cells: In the center of some of your long bones is a soft tissue called bone marrow. The bone marrow produces red and white blood cells.
Red blood cells transport oxygen, nutrients and hormones.
White blood cells fight against infection and bacteria.

Protecting vital organs
Producing red blood cells
Digesting food

Nervous System : Is the control center of the body.
A network of cells that send and receive electrical impulses (messages) between the brain, spinal cord, and body.
The central nervous system controls key body functions.
The central nervous system is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
Nerves transmit electrical impulses (signals), between the spinal cord and body.
The Brain receives messages from the brain, to tell the body how to react.
Nervous System
7
System: A set of things or parts forming a whole
Function: To perform a specified action or job.
Interconnected: When one or more systems work together to perform life functions.
Circulatory System: System that is like a highway system, transporting oxygen, hormones and nutrients around the body.
Red blood cell: Transports oxygen, hormones and nutrients around the body.
White Blood cell: Fights off infections and harmful pathogens in the body.
Respiratory System: System that is responsible for bringing in oxygen and removing carbon dioxide.
Alveoli: Balloon-shaped structures in the lungs that are responsible for gas exchange.
Muscular System: System that is most responsible for movement.
Skeletal System: System that is a rigid framework for the body and protects major organs. It also produces the red blood cells.
Central Nervous System: System that controls the body functions by sending and receiving messages.
