Progressive Solutions: Report Card
By Lauren Powers
2
You have read through the problems and solutions during the Progressive Era.
Some issues were handled better than others: the government helped and laws were created. Some issues had little progress.
How did they do?
3
You will choose TWO issues. For each issue, you will "grade" how well Progressives solved their problems.
You will rate the issues on an A-F scale.
Report their grade!
4
Grade A-F
Grade with the following in mind:
A: Fantastic! Many laws were created, and there was a lot of good changes.
B: Some laws were created to help the issues, and a few changes were made.
C: One or two laws were made to attempt to fix the problem, but there was little change.
F: The government did little to help this issue, despite best efforts.
5
On the next TWO slides...
State the issue you have chosen.
State the grade you are giving (A-F).
Explain what the problems were using your notes made on the first page. (1-2 setences)
Explain why you gave it the grade that you did, with specific examples from your notes if possible.
Example:
I have chosen to grade Temperance. I give this issue a B. Many people were suffering from abuse due to overuse of alcohol. The movement eventually led to passing the 18th Amendment. I gave this a B because it solved the issue of alcohol, but more problems were created.
