What Is Point of View?
📖 Point of view tells who is telling the story.
It shows how we see what’s happening in the story.
💬 Tip: The storyteller’s words give us clues!

First Person Point of View
🗣️ In first person, the narrator is part of the story.
The storyteller uses I, me, my, we, us.
Examples:
I went to the park.
We baked cookies together.
My dog followed me home.
💡 Think: The person telling the story is in the story!

Third Person Point of View
👤 In third person, the narrator is outside the story.
The storyteller uses he, she, they, them, their, the person’s name.
Examples:
She went to the park.
They baked cookies together.
Max’s dog followed him home.
💡 Think: The person telling the story is watching the story.
