when a person speaks or writes to express thoughts or feelings on a topic
EX: Electric vehicles are terrible for the environment.
Pineapple should never be on a pizza!
Fall is the best season.
3
Opinion writing
In an opinion writing, use your opinion as the main idea.
Then give reasons why you think or feel the way you do.
EX: Pineapple should never be on a pizza. Pineapple is acidic and so are tomatoes and tomato sauce. All that acid is not good for your teeth. That much acid might make your stomach hurt too. Pineapples are sweet and the other flavors are harder to taste.
