The Plateau of Mexico has three different terrains!
It is mostly desert and grassy plains in the northern part.
There are broad flat valleys in the center, where most of the major cities of Mexico are located.
It rises in elevation in the south to eventually meet with the Sierra Madre Del Sur mountains.

The lowlands in Mexico are located along both the west and east coasts.
The Pacific Coastal Plain is desert in the north, and gains better soil and more rainfall as you move south.
The plains bordering the Gulf of Mexico get more rain, and have fertile soil for growing crops and raising farm animals.

c. They are located in the Pacific Ocean.

On the island of Jamaica, it rains more on the north side than the south side. This happens because of the wind and the big Blue Mountains on the east side of the island. The mountains block some of the rain, so the south side gets less. This is called the rain shadow effect.
Jamaica
In Puerto Rico, it rains more in the northeast part of the island. There is a rainforest there. But in the southwest part, it does not rain much. That part is dry like a desert. This happens because the mountains block the rain from reaching the southwest.
