Veteran's Day is a special holiday that we celebrate on November 11 each year. It's a day to honor and thank all of the men and women who have served in the military. But how and when did this day begin?

Originally, November 11 was called Armistice Day. This name cam from the end of World War I, which lasted from 1914-1918. One November 11, 1918, the fighting stopped. People celebrated peace and remembered the soldiers who fought bravely.
