How Revolutions Shape Political Systems

Many people moved from farms to work in factories, so cities grew. This change from rural life to city life is called the (Social Revolution). As economies changed from farming to industry, political systems also changed. Wealth was no longer about owning land, but about owning businesses and factories. (Industrial Revolution) In the 20th century, some countries allowed people more participation in government, such as voting for leaders. Other countries chose systems like socialism or communism, which aim to reduce differences between rich and poor and treat everyone equally. (Political Revolution)
