"Is he going to be okay Mom?" John asked his mother.  Rex was laying down on the floor and not wanting to move.  "Let's get him a treat and see if he will get up," Mom said to John.  John ran to the pantry to get a dog biscuit from the shelf.  He brought the biscuit to Rex and his tail begain to wag back and forth.  "Let's go boy,"  John said to Rex.  Rex jumped to his feet and followed John out the door.

Scientists now believe that there may have been life on Mars at one time.  Scientists have discovered that Mars has dried-up lake basins and riverbeds that may have once contained water which supports living things.  In early 2004, rovers landed on Mars to study rocks for clues about water that may have existed.  Scientists are continuing to study this information still today.

One day, a little rabbit hopped into the woods searching for someone who would play with him.  He saw an old owl in a tree and asked, "would you like to play with me?"  Owl hooted, "No, I am sleeping!"  Rabbit hopped along and came across a snake.  "Would you like to play with me?" rabbit asked snake.  "No, I am sssssleeping."  Rabbit felt sad and began to turn around to go back home when he heard a small voice say, "I will play with you."  Rabbit looked and looked but could not see who wanted to play.  "Over here," whispered a tiny voice.  Suddenly a beautiful butterfly flew past rabbit's ear.  Rabbit was so glad he had finally found a friend he could play with.

"Meoooow!" Max the cat said when Sara stepped on his tail.  "Why doesn't she watch where she is going?" Max said to Swimmy the fish.  "I know how you feel," Swimmy said.  "Last week she almost knocked my bowl off the table," Swimmy said sadly.  "Well at least she didn't forget to feed you," Fuzzy the hamster said.  "Yea, and at least she didn't leave you outside all night in the freezing cold," the dog barked to the others.

One day, fox invited his friend stork over for dinner.  He decided that he would trick her.  He prepared soup in a small, shallow bowl so that he could lap the soup with his tongue.  Her long skinny beak however could not get the soup out of the bowl to eat.  Stork went home sad and hungry.  
Stork decided she would trick fox.  She invited fox over for a scrumptious dinner.  She prepared soup in tall narrow jars just right for a stork's beak, but not for a fox's tongue.  Fox returned home hungry that night.  He knew he couldn't be mad at stork since he had done the same to her.
