Goal: For the 2015-16 school year, I will improve student inquiry learning by implementing at least 3 authentic scientific inquiry lab activities throughout the course of the school year.  Growth will be evidenced through SBUS's, student work samples, and pre and post inquiry skills lab rubrics. By the year's end, 80% of all students will reach proficiency according to the rubric.

Domain 3b: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques
Goal: During the 2015-2016 school year, I will incorporate thinking strategies into my daily lessons which will allow students  to answer higher order thinking questions and apply these thinking strategies while learning reading and math content.I will implement learning from Thinking Strategies observations, knowledge from PEBC experience, observations,  book study of The Literate Kindergarten and reading the book Let's Find Out. Growth will be evidenced through lesson plans, observation, self-reflection, student work samples and end of the year assessments

Domain: 3c: Engaging Students in Learning
Goal: My classroom is not as " controlled" but a struggle is allowed to happen.  This struggle creates new thinking placed beside knowledge already within the student.  It is like a seed planted for growth of "other" new or amended ways of thinking.
