Words in Spanish have gender, meaning that they are either masculine or feminine.

Words in English have gender, meaning that they are either masculine or feminine.

The GENDER of the possessive adjective (e.g.: mío vs. mía) depends on:

• the gender of the owner
• the gender of the word itself (the thing being owned)

The NUMBER of the possessive adjective (e.g.: "míos" instead of just "mío") depends on 

• the amount of people that own the object
• the amount of objects being owned

Please change "tu carro" to the stressed possessive form...
