Classroom Rules and Procedures

What should I bring to class?

• Nothing

• My binder and pencil pouch

• A negative attitude

• My personal belongings

My cell phone should be:

• In my binder.

• In my locker.

• In a friend's locker.

• In my pocket.

My hands and feet:

• Should be reaching across the desk towards touching my teammate.

• Should be touching my classmates as I walk around the classroom.

• Should be throwing and kicking items in the classroom.

• Should be kept to myself.

When I speak in the classroom I use:

• Words that are not appropriate.

• My loudest voice.

• Respectful and appropriate language.

• I check the voice level poster.

When a teacher or student is speaking I:

• Actively listen.

• pay attention to my teammate instead.

• I work on other work and/or draw.

• I disrupt what they are saying.

When I am given a task:

• I decide to talk with my teammates instead.

• I listen the first time directions are given.

• I decide to do classwork from another class.

• I follow the directions given and stay on task without disturbing or disrupting others..

If I want to ask questions or share information I:

• I yell out loud what I want to say.

• Raise my hand and wait to be called on.

• Just speak anytime I want to.

• I speak to my teammate instead of waiting for my turn.

When I participate in classroom activities I:

• I ignore the activity and do what I want.

• I help other classmates understand the classroom activity.

• I have a fixed mindset (I cannot do this, I am behind, I give up...)

• participate with a positive attitude.
