What is the purpose of the dress code?

• To be annoying.

• To get me referred.

• To help me get in the habit of dressing professionally.

• To help teachers feel better.

What is a head covering?

• anything that covers a large portion of my head.

• A hairband

• A barette

• A pair of glasses on the top of my head.

Why aren't head coverings permitted at school?

• For grins and giggles.

• For security purposes, and to appear more professional.

• Teachers are jealous of our cool hats.

• We keep losing our scarves.

What is truancy?

• Missing any day of class.

• Skipping class.

• Tardy to class.

• More than 10 absences in a row (consecutive)

What is disruptive conduct?

• Asking a question.

• Sharpening a pencil.

• Interfering with learning.

• Getting out my materials.

What is profanity?

• Saying hello

• Quiet conversation

• Jealousy

• Vulgar or obscene language or conduct.

How can bullying occur?

• In person only

• In person, digitally, or indirectly

• Digitally only

• Passing notes only

What is gambling?

• Betting of any kind that includes money or any item of value.

• Playing cards

• Rooting for a team during a game

• Deciding where to go for lunch

What medicines am I allowed to carry at school?

• Prescriptions

• No medicines, unless a plan is in place with admin., parents, and the school nurse.

• Cold medicine

• Cramp medicine

What is the purpose of the code of conduct?

• To make rules.

• To punish students.

• To provide me with a safe, orderly learning environment.

• To give teachers a feeling of power.
