The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence was read at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, 17 August 1945. Hello Felyta!

It’s been too long since our last visit, and I thought I’d write to you to see how everything is. So, how are you and the family doing? I remember precisely and perfectly Janice is just about to start kindergarten, right? That must be exciting; she was always such a bright girl. And what grade is Silas going into? 7th or 8th? He’s growing up so fast. They both are, really.

My kids are getting ready for the school year as well. Galen just mentioned you guys the other day while we were at the park. Students will also benefit socially from studying abroad due to the independence traveling internationally brings someone. Traveling abroad will make sure students will be more independent and mature than when they left. This is due to the student getting out of their comfort zone and trying something new.

Studying abroad has many advantages. There is no substitution for “being there.” In the twenty-first century we can experience things online but the only way to experience it fully is to travel.
