primary and secondary sources

What is a primary source

• Has MORE than one point of view

• Original records from the past recorded by people who were related to the event in some way shape or form

• being involved in the event

• witnessing the event

• knew the persons involved in the event

What is a secondary source?

• Has ONE point of view

• is made at a later time

• AFTER an event has happened

• they CAN reflect what people thought or felt about the event

• They do give you a more fair account because they give you MORE than one point of view.
