Hormones from the pituitary that stimulate or act on other glands are called

Just below the larynx or “Adam’s apple” at the base of the throat. It is a butterfly shaped gland. It secretes

Thyroid hormone and Calcitonin.

They secrete parathyroid hormone (PTH)

This gland is both an endocrine gland and a lymphatic organ. It lies under the sternum anterior to the heart.

It is larger in childhood but shrinks and is barely visible by adulthood. It also secretes Thymosin

This is a pine cone shaped gland that releases melatonin which helps you sleep.
