Elements of a Fairy Tale

Fairy Tales often start with...

In every fairy tale, there is at least (1) good character. They are someone who:

• helps and is helped by others

• hurts and is unkind to others

In Fairy Tales, there are recurring number patterns. The three numbers that appear are:

• 1,2,3

• 4,5,6

• 3,6,7

In Fairy Tales, there is often Royalty.

Royalty means we will see:

• witches and woods

• castles and queens (or kings, princes or princesses!)

In Fairy Tales, we often see magic and enchantment.

This means we will see:

• talking animals (or objects)

• only people talking

In every fairy tale, there is an evil character. They are someone who:

• helps and is helped by others

• hurts and is unkind to others
