Indentureship Two

The indentured servants were packed on sailing ships and locked below deck

They were unaccustomed to the tropical climate because Europe has a temperate climate (cool climate)

The indentured Servants knew what they were getting themselves into

Work was done in the fields, mills, and boiling house by indentured servants

Indentured servants were taken from the Caribbean to Europe because of labour shortage

The Europeans were hoping for a better life

Many of the indentured servants were convicts

The masters did not pay in full for the indentured servants to come to the caribbean

These indentured workers signed unique legal contracts.

The indentured servants were given a lovely home, they were treated as a family of their masters and wore fine clothes and ate expensive meals.
