Maclay Middle School: Dress Code Policy

Dress-code approved bottoms must

• touch my fingertips when my shoulders are in a neutral position

• be khaki, navy, grey, or plaid for skirts

• be free from holes and tears

• all answers are correct

When I'm wearing a jacket to school, my outerwear needs to

• be a solid color of blue, gray, navy, or white

• have the Maclay crest on it

• be anything I want if I have my uniform underneath

• be removed when I get to school

_______ may wear blue jeans (no torn edges, holes, or leggings)

• 6th graders

• 7th graders

• 8th graders

• No one

If I am wearing a hat outside, but I am about to enter an indoor building, I should

• keep it on until my teacher tells me to take it off

• take it off my head and put it away before walking indoors

• do nothing

• actually not bring a hat to school because they are not allowed

Sweatpants, Athletic shorts, Drawstring shorts, and Athletic Track Suits

• do NOT follow dress code and should not be worn

• do follow dress code and are ok to wear

Tights or Leggings may ONLY be worn _________

• by themselves

• under uniform bottoms or dresses

• over uniform bottoms or dresses

• with long t-shirts

Shirts and dresses must cover skin and underwear, even when

• it's a costume/dress-up day

• your arms are fully extended in the air

• it's a Friday spirit day

• all answers are correct

I can wear the following clothing in any color, EXCEPT for

• Ties

• Socks

• Sweatshirts

• Leggings

When attending a short field trip off campus, our policy is to wear

• any Maclay-Approved clothing

• a solid navy top with Maclay crest and khaki bottoms

• what my teacher asks me to wear

• whatever I want because I will not be on campus

When I am a part of a Maclay team or club who is playing/performing that day, I may wear my sleeved jersey/shirt to school

• with dress-code approved bottoms

• with my athletic pants

• on Fridays only
