1. Form a slip knot (see figure 1) with a loop having a perimeter of at least 100 mm, and the knot positioned a distance which is approximately equal from each end of the test sample.

2. Clamp end A centerally in the upper jaw of the tensile testing machine.

3. Let the tensile machine upwards at a jaw separation 50mm/min.

4. Clamp the loop at point B in the lower jaw of the Tensile testing machine.

5. Stop the Tensile machine when a force of 50 N has been applied. Remove the loop from the lower jaw.
