He was a pastor in Bohemia, spoke out about the problems in the Catholic church and its corruption, and was also called to meet with the council of Constance but the Roman Church burned him at the stake when he arrived. The church lied to him and killed him!!

He was a pastor, teacher, and theologian in England who taught that once you were saved, no one or anything can take salvation away from you. He also produced the first Bible in English.

When he was in Germany, he became a monk and studied the scriptures in Greek and Hebrew. He struggled with the fact that he was a sinner so he went to his superiors to forgive his sins.(only Christ can forgive sins) Later in his life, he translated the New Testament and the Old Testament into German. Then, he married a nun and they had 6 children and 4 adopted children.

He was born in Switzerland and he encouraged Erasmus to study the Bible. This man also became a catholic priest but became displeased with the corruption in the church. Through Luther’s writings, he realized that salvation comes from faith in Christ. He soon wrote The 67 Conclusions.

He was born in France (the second most Catholic country in Europe) and became a leading figure in the Reformation. He also ministered from Geneva Switzerland to the hostility of the French government. Then, he wrote the first edition of his Institutes of the Christian Religion.

Luther learned of him selling indulgences and wanted to debate him about the value of them.

Reformers emphasized that people had to come to God individually. When a Christian comes to Christ they become a priest. In other words, you can come to Christ without a priest.
