What is a law?

• Something invented by the lawyers

• A rule that is not mandatory

• Something that you have to do every day

• a rule, usually made by a government, that is used to order the way in which a society behaves

What is a lawyer?

• someone who follows the law

• someone whose job is to give advice to people about the law and speak for them in court

• someone who doesn't follow the law

• someone in charge of trials in the court

What is a judge?

• a person who is in charge of a trial in a court and decides how a person who is guilty of a crime should be punished

• a person who judges other people every day

• a person that takes care of the law

• The boss of the lawyers

What is a court?

• a patio

• a place where people play sports

• a place where trials and other legal cases happen

What is a lawsuit?

• a disagreement between people that is brought to a court of law for a decision

• a lawyer wearing a suit

• the clothes you have to wear when you go to court

What is compensation?

• Money you win when you go to work

• money you have to pay when you do something wrong

• money someone receives in exchange for something that has been lost or damaged or for some problem

• When someone does you a favour

What are the Stella Awards?

• A prize for a girl named Stella

• An award for the craziest lawsuits

• An award for lawyers

• An award for judges
