Maximum number of credits which can be registered by a student is (a)   credits.

Maximum number of credits which can be registered by a student under the Academic Probationary Period is (a)   credits.

Registration for any course must be completed by

• second lecture week

• before the semester starts

• seventh lecture week

A student who is not satisfied with his examination results may appeal for a review of his examination results within (a)   days from the official date of announcement of his examination results.

A student of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is qualified to be awarded with Bachelor’s Degree of a Pass With Honours (With Distinction) if he

• achieves a final CGPA of 3.70 and above

• completes 135 credits

• repeated a course where he upgraded his course grade

• has successfully completed his programme of study within 8 semesters

The passing grade for all courses is grade

• C

• C-

• D

• D+

GPA is calculated by dividing the total grade points obtained by the total credit taken in a semester. Calculate the GPA for a student with the results shown. The table at the right shows the grading scheme in UM.

(a)  

A student may be failed and terminated from his programme of study if

• is placed under an Academic Probationary Period and subsequently obtains a GPA of 1.30 or less for two (2) consecutive semesters

• obtains a CGPA of less than 1.00 for two (2) consecutive semesters

• obtains a grade F three (3) times for the same course

• obtains a GPA of less than 2.00 for two (2) consecutive semesters
