Responsible for setting the business aims and objectives (goals) – the most senior members of staff.

Work to achieve the short and long term goals of the business set by the directors. May be responsible for a function within the business i.e. Marketing, finance, operations or HR. Manage other employees to achieve the business targets

Help managers, pass on instructions or report issues/problems. Manage other employees and make simple decisions

Carry out basic tasks – no authority for decision making
