As per the Rule of Two when opening the store what is the proper procedure?

• All employees enter simultaneously, as there is safety in numbers.

• Two employees present at least one is a keyholder, entering the store alone to perform a "store sweep" without one or more observers entering the building with them during the (Opening Key holder/Observer)

When entering or exiting the store, what is considered a safe distance for the observer?

• Begin normal opening duties such as opening cash tills

Performing an interior inspection prior to the all-clear signal that consists of:

• Walking sales floor

• Thoroughly inspects by walking into each room (including but not limited to) Telco Room, Restrooms, Back Office, Merchandising Closets, Inventory Room, and Sales Floors

• Thoroughly inspects the sales floor and the back office

As part of the closing procedure the observers/keyholders:

• Send out all employees except the keyholder, to the repositioned cars moved prior to closing.

• Make sure to set the alarm and all employees leave together

• If more than 2 employees closing, send out one employee as the observer while the rest stay inside

When closing the BPK

• The BPK can be emptied any time after closing, as long as the door is locked.

• The keyholder has to wait until there are few customers (less than Employees) then may retrieve and count

• The keyholder waits for the store to be secure, and free of customers before emptying the cash

• Needs to be secured at all times and never left open and unattended

• Can be propped open during opening duties as long as the second employee is inside the store
