The life cycle of a butterfly is divided into four stages: egg, larva, pupa and butterfly. The four stages are called the life cycle of the butterfly. A butterfly begins life as an egg. Most eggs are laid on the leaves of plants. They can be round, oval or even cylindrical in shape depending on the type of butterfly that laid them. Inside the egg is a larva, which is known as a caterpillar. When it is ready, the larva hatches and eats the leaf its egg was laid on. It then continues eating for most of its short life. The larva's skin cannot stretch as it grows, so it keeps shedding its skin and growing a new one.

The African rhino is divided into two species, the black rhino and the white rhino. White rhinos mainly live in South Africa, but they have also been reintroduced to Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. Southern white rhinos have been introduced to Kenya, Zambia, and Cote d’Ivoire. The majority of the black rhino population—98%—is concentrated in four countries: South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. South Africa houses 40% of the total black rhino population. There are some black rhinos in the region spread between Cameroon and Kenya.

Last night, my family visited the carnival that came to town. First, I went on the Ferris wheel. I loved looking at all the people down below the wheel spun around and around! After that, my sister was feeling hungry. Dad bought us all ice cream. I had chocolate chip and it was delicious. Finally, we went on the bumper cars. My big brother and I rode together and crashed over and over again. It was hilarious! It was so special spending time with my family at the carnival.

Oh, how time flies! It was 2016 and I had the chance to travel with my sister in Manila. We had the chance to meet and greet our relatives for the first time.
