the original. But if you're traveling with transportation

companies that require the original document (e.g.,

Italo), you have to bring your original passport. You'll also need to bring it in case you need to make a

reservation to stay one/two nights out and an ID check

is required for the facility reservation. In such cases, be

extra careful not to lose your passport! It will cost you a

lot of time and money if you lose it.
