Meditation verse for the book of Ezra chapter 1&2

In Chapter 1: We learn when Cyrus became the king of Persia and how he dealt with his people. Cyrus didn’t worship the Lord but he knew that the Lord commanded him to build him a house in Jerusalem. We also learn how they all got together with encouragement to build the house of the Lord.

In Chapter 2: We see the people who weren’t carried away by Nebuchadnezzar came back to Jerusalem and they offered silver and gold and priest garments. the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
