• the process of acquiring the proper skills, values, knowledge and attitudes to help people prevent conflict from occurring, resolve conflicts peacefully, and create conditions for peace to allow harmony with others, oneself and the natural environment.

• Teaching peace to people by simply saying violence and conflict is bad
