Being capable within the Literacy Capability includes

• Interpreting information in diagrams, laps, graphs and tables and drawing conclusions from these to help you to make decisions about possible work opportunities and directions

• Interpreting information from books, news media, interviews, film and social media to support the decisions you make about your goals and pathways

• Identifying and developing your understanding of how information technologies are used in the workplace

• Identify your personal values and explore how various points of view impact on individual and group responsibilities

Being capable within the numeracy capability includes

• Building community links by participating in sporting and recreational activities and volunteer work

• Learning about different social and cultural backgrounds through your interaction with other students, mentors and community organisations

• Using such things as graphs and tables to help explain, discuss and review your goals and decisions about the future

• Posing questions, monitoring and reviewing your experiences as you move towards your goals

Being capable in the ICT capability includes

• Working collaboratively in teams with your peers and classmates

• Explaining, discussing and reviewing your goals and decisions about the future, in writing or by holding round table discussions with your teachers and peers

• Using such things as graphs and tables to help explain, discuss and review your goals and decisions about the future

• Using the appropriate information and communication technologies to present and explain your goals to your teachers, mentors and peers

Being capable within the Personal and Social capability includes

• Identifying and assessing your goals and develop a course of action to help you achieve them. For example by participating in work, volunteering or training opportunities

• Exploring the concept of global citizenship and the impact of your role and responsibilities in your learning and work environment

• Building your self-confidence, self-awareness and interpersonal and intrapersonal skills such as resilience, resourcefulness, initiative and respect for others

• Identify your personal values and explore how various points of view impact on individual and group responsibilities

Being capable within the Critical and Creative Thinking Capability includes

• Building community links by participating in sporting and recreational activities and volunteer work
