the presence of secondary and tertiary dentin gives PROTECTION making the pulp tissue further from the source

there is a direct connection between arterioles and

venules which gives NUTRITION and food and maintains

the vitality of the tooth

Even if there are different stimulus, pulp tissue cannot

distinguish these different stimulus and PAIN IS THE ONLY ONE FELT

the only sensory that can the pulp feel

may be direct (exposure of the pulp) and

indirect (application of calcium hydroxide if there is evidence

of pulpal proximity; direct application can cause

inflammation and not form secondary dentin)
