I start conversations with my foreign client by saying

• "Hi! How are you?"

• "What's up, mate?!"

• "You all right?"

• "Hi! What's new?"

When I'm introducing myself to my foreign client,

• I just want it to be over as soon as possible.

• I just say my nickname.

• I say my fullest name possible.

• I keep on thinking about my English.

After introducing myself to my foreigner client, I say,

• "And you? What's your name?"

• "What are you doing here, please?"

• "Are you having fun at the exhibition so far?"

• "Very pleased to meet you."

Whenever I don't understand something that my foreigner client is saying, I say,

• "I'm sorry, I didn't catch that."

• "What?" or "What did you just say?"

• "I beg your pardon?" or "Excuse me?"

• "Hah?"

When my foreigner client gets back to me by phone calls or messages, I say,

• "Robert? I don't remember that we've met."

• "Hi! Nice to hear back from you!"

• "Oh, it's you."

• "I'm sorry, who's this?"
