EPF contributions are mandatory for employers who employ foreign workers

If an employee involved minor misconduct repeatedly often, it would consider as major misconduct.

According to Employment Act, no employee shall be required to work more than 48 hours in one week.

It is required by the laws of employment for workers should not work more than 5 consecutive hours without rest of not less than 30 minutes.

Statutorily benefits are benefits which are required by the law to be given to employees. All these leave is under statutorily benefits except:

Employer is responsible to appoint safety committee if there are at least 30 employees in an organization.

Before retrenching employees, the employer can reduce the employee’s salary after discussing it with them and they have agreed.

Employers should report to the Department of Occupational Safety and Health for every accident that happens in an organization.

Disciplinary action must be taken against workers who refuse to work safely and who thereby endanger themselves and possibly other workers as well.
