• The phrase “common good” refers to thinking about what is best for the community in question, rather than taking action for one’s own self-interest. 

• In a democratic society people need to work together to achieve common goals.

What does "common good" mean?

• • thinking about what is best for yourself, rather than what is best for the community

• Citizens must consider the impact of their actions on others. 

• They should be aware that even if they have the “right” to do something, it does not mean that they can (or should) do things that could harm others or negatively affect them. 

What should citizens consider?
