The line graph shows the number of citizens in three countries who have migrated from the countryside to urban areas since 2000 and the projected numbers up to 2025.
Overall, the levels of migration for all three countries are higher across the period, but at different rates of change.
The sharpest rises can be seen for countries A and C.
A started the period with the highest number and its figures rise fairly steadily and steeply. Country C saw little change until 2005 but then the numbers saw a massive increase, reaching the same total of 80 million as A by the year 2020 and thereafter surpassing it.
By contrast, Country B’s numbers rise less steeply. Having started with the second highest numbers in 2000, it had reached only 30 million by 2020.
