surat _al-falaq (vocabulary)

الْوَسْوَاسِ : means

• The whisperer

• The devil retreats when we remember Allah

• Jinn

الْخَنَّاسِ: means

• Creatures of fire

• the retreating

الْفَلَقِ: means

• Grows dark

• Darkness of the night

• The daybreak

غَاسِقٍ : is

• witches casting spells

• The splitting of the day

• Darkness of the night

وَقَبَ: is

• when the night falls and grows dark

• witches blow into knots to cast spells

النَّفَّاثَاتِ: is

• Darkness of the night

• when the night falls and grows dark

• witches casting spells

Say, O Prophet, I seek protection with the Lord of the Daybreak: read al_aya

• قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ

• مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ 

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ : means

• i seek rsfuge with allah from the evils of the dark night as it falls down

• I seek refuge with Allah from the evil and harm of all His creatures

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ: next aya

• وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

• وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلۡعُقَدِ 

And from the evil of a spiteful person who envies people for the blessings Allah grants them: read al_aya

• وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلۡعُقَدِ

• وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
