Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a handsome young man named Batara Guru. He was a strong and brave fisherman. One day, while fishing in the river, he caught a beautiful fish. The fish begged him to set her free, promising to grant him any wish. Batara Guru agreed and set the fish free.
The fish turned into a beautiful woman and they fell in love. They got married and had a daughter. However, Batara Guru forgot his promise to the fish and started to be arrogant and cruel to his wife. She warned him about the consequences, but he didn't listen.
Angered by her husband's behavior, the woman transformed back into a fish and jumped into the lake. The lake began to tremble and the earth shook violently. A huge volcano erupted, creating a large crater that filled with water. The village was destroyed, and Batara Guru and his daughter turned into an island in the middle of the lake.
