Constant- A number on its own without a variable.

Coefficient-A number that is multiplied by a variable. The number that is in front of the variable.

Unit Rate-A rate that compares a quantity to one unit of another quantity.

Ratio-A comparison of two quantities; The ratio a to b can be written as a:b

Complex Fractions-A fraction that has at least one fraction in the numerator, the denominator or both.

Equivalent Ratios-Two ratios that describe the same relationship.

Proportional-When quantities have the same relative size. In other words they have the same ratio.

Coordinate Plane-The plane containing the "x" axis and "y" axis.

Constant of Proportionality-the unit rate in a proportional relationship.
