What is a rhetorical device?

• is a technique that an author or speaker uses to convey to the listener or reader a meaning with the goal of persuading them

• the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named

• the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning adjacent or closely related connected words

• the use of a word referring to or replacing a used earlier in a sentence to avoid repetition.
