Machine Needle

• Pierces the fabric and carries the top thread to create stitches.

Spool Holder & Pin

• Located at the top of the machine; holds the spool of thread in place.

• Found at the bottom of the machine; used for cutting thread.

• Located on the side of the machine; helps in winding the bobbin.

• Attached to the front of the machine; used for adjusting tension.

Bobbin Case

• Holds the bobbin securely and provides tension for the bobbin thread; located beneath the throat plate. Make sure the bobbin thread is positioned like the letter 'p'.

• Used to store extra bobbins and sewing supplies.

• A component that controls the speed of the sewing machine.

• A part that helps in threading the needle.

Thread Guide

• Directs the thread from the spool to the needle for proper threading. Make sure the 'bunny ear' is all the way up before threading.

• Holds the needle in place while sewing.

Foot Pedal

• Controls the speed of the sewing machine; pressing down increases the sewing speed, while easing off slows it down or stops it.

• Controls the width of the fabric

• Manually raises and lowers the needle for precision or threading. Always move this towards you, never away, to avoid damaging the machine.
