CHAPTERS 11 AND 12. Bruce Bogtrotter and the Cake/Lavender

Miss Trunchbull was able to get away with the way she treated the children

Amanda was told to cut her pigtails.

When Miss Trunchbull called Bruce Bogtrotter to the stage

• She had her riding crop to whip him

• She was going to make him apologise in front of the whole school

• He had been blamed for stealing her cake.

Cook made a cake and Bruce was forced to eat

Bruce sat on the stage devouring the cake

• He was applauded and cheered by the children in the assembly

• Mrs Trunchbull was so furious she dismissed him immediately

• His tummy was full of cake and he was very happy

The Headmistress was to visit the class. Miss Honey gave the instructions to

• Stand up when answering a question and not to fidget.

• Answer politely and quickly

• Never argue as this will make Miss Trunchbull angry.

Miss Honey informed the class they would be tested on

• All work learnt so far and Spelling

• Work learnt that week and the 2X table

• The Spelling they had learnt that week.

Lavender was to provide

• A jug of water and glasses.

Lavender caught the newt in
