Immediate action for suspected stroke

• Call emergency services immediately and note the time symptoms started.

• Wait for the symptoms to go away before taking action.

• Take an aspirin to thin the blood.

• Try to diagnose the type of stroke before calling for help.

Signs and symptoms of hypoglycaemia

• Tremors, cold and clammy skin, irritability, drowsiness, slurred speech, dizziness.

• Give the person water to drink to clear the obstruction.

• Slap the person on the back repeatedly without checking for responsiveness.
