On July 11th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the new national emblem atop the new parliament building at Central Vista. The emblem, made of bronze and weighing 9,500 kilograms, was created by Sunil Theory and Lakshman Vyasa. It took nine months to complete and was fabricated in Aurangabad, Jaipur, and Delhi. The emblem features four Asiatic lions, with three visible and one hidden, and includes a wheel, a bull, and a horse. The emblem's design has faced criticism for its depiction, with opposition parties claiming it appears aggressive. Designers argue the issue is one of perspective, while the BJP dismisses the criticism as a conspiracy against Modi.
