The Chaka tribe, part of the Musan language group, historically inhabited the southeastern U.S. They were primarily farmers and had a complex social and political structure. The Chaka had significant interactions with Europeans, forming alliances and engaging in conflicts. In the 19th century, they faced forced relocation during the Trail of Tears. Despite challenges, the Chaka have maintained their cultural identity and contributed to modern society, including serving as code talkers in World Wars. Today, they are one of the largest Native American nations.
