VOICED : Lacrimogenas frustran planton de la oposicion en Caracas

On Wednesday, Venezuelan police and military forces used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse opposition protesters on Caracas's main highway. The confrontation began as demonstrators gathered in Plaza Altamira to march towards the Francisco Fajardo highway. Police detained three citizens and allegedly robbed merchants. Protests, which started on April 1, demand early general elections and oppose President Maduro's Constituent Assembly without a referendum. The protests have resulted in 68 deaths and over a thousand injuries, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
