Julius Caesar 3.1 Scene Summary

Caesar arrives at the Capitol, ignoring warnings from a soothsayer. Despite pleas from Metellus, Brutus, and Cassius, Caesar refuses to pardon Metellus's brother, declaring his constancy. The conspirators, including Brutus and Cassius, assassinate Caesar, proclaiming liberty and freedom. Antony returns, shocked by Caesar's death, and negotiates with Brutus and Cassius to speak at Caesar's funeral. Left alone, Antony reveals his true feelings and predicts chaos. He learns that Octavius is near Rome, contemplating revenge.
