VOICED : Rival de Evo Morales firma alianza para presionar por segunda vuelta

Bolivian presidential candidate Carlos Mesa, a rival of Evo Morales, announced an alliance with right-wing parties and centrist leaders to push for a second round in the presidential election. Mesa accused Morales of orchestrating fraud to win in the first round and called for public mobilization. In Santa Cruz, clashes occurred between opponents and police. Three days post-election, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal had not completed the vote count. Morales had 46.03% of the votes against Mesa's 37.35%, with 3% of valid votes yet to be reviewed. Morales needs at least 40% of the votes and a 10-point lead over Mesa to avoid a runoff.
