Anna Arnold Hedgeman

Anna Arnold was a trailblazer who overcame racial barriers to achieve significant milestones. Born to William and Mary Arnold, she grew up in Anoka, MN, where she experienced racial harmony. She became the first African American graduate from Maine University and later taught at Rust College. Anna's career included a historic role in New York City's mayoral cabinet and founding Edmond Consulting. She co-founded the National Organization for Women and was active in numerous organizations. Her life exemplified resilience and a vision for a harmonious world.
