A fossil initially thought to be from a flying reptile called Terasar was actually from a rare dinosaur named Elafrasar, marking the first discovery of this species in Australia. Elafrasar, part of the theropod family, was about the size of a small emu. It lived during the Cretaceous period when Australia was in the Arctic Circle, in a habitat rich with diverse plant life.
