VOICED : El Congreso chileno acuerda iniciar nuevo proceso para redactar proyecto de Constitución

Chile's Congress has initiated a new constitutional process after a previous proposal was rejected by the public. A Constitutional Council of 50 members will be elected in April 2023 to draft a new constitution, with indigenous representation determined by votes. The council will start work in May and submit a draft by October. An expert commission will provide a preliminary draft. A final plebiscite in November will decide on ratification.
